The Gospel & Church

Dear Mosaic Family,

We're continuing our series called "This Changes Everything," in which we're showing how the Awesome News of Jesus Christ (The Gospel), changes absolutely every single major area of our lives.

In the last 4 weeks, I've attempted to show how the Gospel transforms work, money, sex, and relationships. All biggies in life. However, how does "church" fit into the mix? If I've got the Gospel, and it transforms me and everything about me, and it meets my needs, why do I need the church? Why go to church (especially when I can just listen to sermons and worship music online)? Why join a church? What's "church membership" all about? Seems so formal.

Tomorrow, we'll be wrestling with all these questions, and looking for answers particularly in Romans 12, where Scripture gives us the implications of the Gospel's work in our life--especially regarding our relationship to church. You don't want to miss it!

Praying for you,
Pastor Jan
